Natural, relaxed family sessions in Birmingham — Cannon Hill Park, Sutton Park, Lickey Hills, and beyond.
Birmingham Family Photography
Birmingham is one of England's great cities — and its green spaces are among the best in any UK city. From the lakeside meadows of Cannon Hill Park to the ancient heathland of Sutton Park and the wooded ridges of the Lickey Hills, Birmingham families are surrounded by genuinely beautiful places to be photographed.
I work in a relaxed, documentary style — following your family's natural energy rather than choreographing poses. The result is a gallery that looks and feels like your family: warm, real, and full of the moments you actually want to remember.

Where We Shoot
Cannon Hill Park
Birmingham's most-loved park — the lake, meadows, and mature trees create beautiful, varied backdrops across all seasons. Golden-hour sessions here in autumn are particularly stunning.
Sutton Park
One of the largest urban parks in England — ancient heathland, woodland, and open pools just north of the city. Exceptional for adventurous families who want something wilder than a manicured park.
Lickey Hills
A beautiful country park on Birmingham's southern edge — open hilltop views, oak woodland, and bluebells in spring. Perfect for families who love walking and exploring.
Moseley Bog & Joy's Wood
A surprising pocket of ancient woodland in south Birmingham — atmospheric, green, and full of character. Tolkien was inspired by these woods growing up nearby.
Edgbaston Reservoir
A tranquil urban reservoir encircled by parkland — popular with families and offering lovely waterside reflections at certain times of year.
Sandwell Valley
Open farmland and country park west of Birmingham — spacious, natural, and less crowded than city parks. Great for larger families or including dogs in the session.
Cannon Hill Park is the most versatile all-year location with beautiful lake reflections and open meadows. For something wilder, Lickey Hills or Sutton Park offer stunning open landscape. I'm happy to discuss which suits your family best.
Yes — I cover Birmingham, Solihull, Sutton Coldfield, Edgbaston, Wolverhampton, Coventry, and the wider West Midlands. A small travel supplement applies for locations beyond 30 miles from base.
This is completely normal — I work in a relaxed, child-led way. I never direct children into forced poses; I follow their energy, play alongside them, and capture the real interactions. The most treasured images usually come from unscripted moments.
Spring blossoms (April–May) and autumn colours (September–October) offer the most beautiful natural settings. Summer golden-hour sessions (7–9pm) at Cannon Hill Park or Lickey Hills are particularly special. Winter sessions in Sutton Park can also be magical.
Absolutely — dogs are welcome at most outdoor locations and often create the warmest family moments. Please let me know when booking so I can confirm the location is suitable and off-lead friendly.
Your private online gallery will be delivered within 10 business days of the session. You'll receive a download link for all images in full resolution, with digital printing rights included.
